Healthy snacks

It is always a challenge to be able to eat the right kind of healthy snacks for weight loss or fitness, especially when we try to balance taste with nutrition. One such nutritious and` easy recipe is given below. It is delicious and children will also like it.

Take 250 grams of fresh homemade curds (yogurt) and hang it in a muslin cloth or put on a strainer till the water has drained out. This should take around thirty o 60 minutes. You could also put the yogurt in a muslin cloth and squeeze out the water if you want to make it faster.

To this add a teaspoon of extra virgin sesame, groundnut or olive oil. Mix in one teaspoon of cumin powder, half a teaspoon of powdered oregano, one teaspoon of powdered coriander seeds, a teaspoon of honey and salt to taste. Mix it well and let it rest for an hour in the refrigerator.

Chop some chilled carrots and cucumbers lengthwise and have it with the yummy yogurt dip. It is delicious, cooling, satisfying and healthy.
